New Look
Like the new look of the blog? I'm trying to get motivated to post regularly and to comment on other blogs regularly so I can have some new visitors to my blog! The 2 follower count (love ya Laura and Britt!) and 0 comments has me bummed :( BUT we shall press on!
Today, we're taking the youth group to BLAZER tag (laser tag, oh play on words) in Austin. We're pretty stoked about it. Unfortunately, for the past few days, I've had an allergic reaction to SOMETHING in the Burg area that has my legs and arms in a red rash, as well as my feet and hands get all swollen. I'm hoping my tender feet and hands don't disturb my game face this afternoon!
Nate and I recently purchased a Canon SLR (not sure what kind... when Nate gets home, I'll have him tell me and I'll update) camera!!! I am SO excited to get to work taking photos of our new town/home, of Chloe, and of any/everything else. Plus Nate has PhotoShop on his computer at work, so that calls for a double triple YAY! We'll have lots of fun editing and taking photos this summer!
For now, I'll give you a few pictures from our anniversary trip(s)

Ch- Ch- Ch- Changes
Lots of news going on with the Johnson fam since I last updated!
1. I got a job! I will be teaching Kindergarten (double triple YAY) at a Catholic school... Low pay, but the school pays 100% insurance. Plus the school is super close to where we are living, so our gasoline bill will be low. Yay! And I'm back to a grade that I WANT to teach. I'm really excited about it!
2. We are about to become homeowners! We have flip-flopped, switched houses, and gone back and forth since April, and we are exhausted! We will be purchasing a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath in the Burg and we are stoked about it. All the paperwork is done, so now we need an appraiser to come in and our mortgage lender to do a few more things before we close at the end of July. Can't WAIT. Soon this blog will become our lives/decorating/home improvement. Woot!

Anniversaries, a Wedding, and Moving
It has been ONE busy week!
Nate and I haven't been in the 'Burg since last Friday! We have been traveling all around Texas, literallyyyy. Last Friday, we left to go back to Dallas to see "Wicked": the GREATEST musical of all time. It tells the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda before Dorothy came to Oz. It's fantastic and I highly recommend it!
Saturday, we then drove to Mt. Pleasant to celebrate Nate's grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. It was a fun afternoon full of sharing stories, eating yummy food, hanging with family, and listening to some good ol' fiddle playing and singing. Love Nate's family! :)
SUNDAY, was me and Nate's ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY :) I can't believe it's been a whole year! It has flown by, been full of lots of changes, but I'm so glad I get to live with my absolute best friend and share life with him :) Since it was our anniversary, we headed to the Riverwalk in San Antonio to spend the week. Our hotel was right on the Riverwalk and across the street from the Alamo. Very convenient location! We spent the week eating AMAZING food (mainly Mexican... yummm I LOVE fajitas), shopping, and doing touristy things. It was super relaxing and fantastic!
Thursday, we headed back to the big D to start packing our entire apartment to make the big official move to Sburg. Our ENTIRE apartment had to go... and it did, hallelujah! Unfortunately, quite a bit of my classroom "furniture" and supplies didn't make the journey, but we'll get them eventually! So we packed Thursday and Friday...
Until Friday evening, I went to my roommate Laura's wedding! She got married at good ol' DBU and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was so dainty and put together so well, it was absolutely gorgeous! She looked amazing in her dress, the colors were fantastic, and we had so much fun! It was so fun to get to hang out with all of my roommates' again. Felt like we were all living in the same apartment again!
Then TODAY, was the move. My parents and Nate's parents came to help: we are SO blessed to have such caring and considerate parents! We packed up a UHAUL, which took forevverrr because we had four flights of stairs to climb... unforunate. Luckily, it all got done. Nate and I made the drive to the Burg (and Chloe got to sleep the whole time, lucky puppy). Once we got here, a few church members helped us unload everything into a storage unit. NOW we are relaxing and hanging out... we are two worn out people! Next, shower and bed. We are also stinky people!

First week down
I have almost finished my first full week as a resident in Sburg. It has been fantastic! I absolutely love being a minister's wife. First off, I have an amazing, talented, encouraging, comforting husband who is awesome at what he does (with all the glory going to God, of course). He is so devoted to what he does and I can totally tell he loves the work he is doing. It is great to see him in his element and to be able to help him with various events and projects. It's amazing to see God's handiwork :)
This week, I have done the following:
1. Attend an amazing pounding for me and Nathan given by the church
2. Have Sunday morning/evening church
3. Take lunch to Nate and help/hang out with him in his office
4. Gotten my hair cut by Sam in Hallettsville
5. Went to Brookshire Brothers/Walmart for some weekly shopping
6. Attend Wednesday night church
7. Have Nate's brother, sis-in-law, and our nephew, Wyatt in the Burg for a visit :)
8. View a new house and make an OFFER (fingers crossed!)
9. Have movie/pool (as in billiards) night for the youth
10. RELAX and have no obligations to a job (holla fellow teachers!)
