Do you ever "daydream" during the workday and think, "When I get home, I'm going to..... " and create a whole to-do list (both for fun and business) of things to get done when you are home?
I do.
But by the time I walk in the door around 4pm, I am s-p-e-n-t.
I am l-a-z-y (cue the change into pajamas).
I am h-u-n-g-r-y (cue the unnecessary but oh so delicious snack).
I am s-l-e-e-p-y (cue the nap until too late, therefore by bed time, you are wide awake).
What is happening?!
I need MOTIVATION.
Right now, I could list about 47 things I need to do. Clean the house (that takes up about 20 bullets on my list, of all the various rooms/nooks/crannys I need to tackle). Finish the dang St. Patrick's/Spring wreath so I can share it with you all. Finish a scrapbook from our CRUISE in SEPTEMBER (hello 6 months ago). Laundry. Vacuum. Dishes (although that's Nate's chore, neener-neener-neener). Take dogs on walk. Play with dogs. Create/find/print out various hand outs and activities for school. Floors in bedroom? Guest bath closet? All still incomplete... just... sitting... and BLOG! About meaningful, interesting stuff. Sheesh.
But I need MOTIVATION.
I am making myself play the Wii Fit... I mean, it's no work out regimen nor is it a gym, but it's something that makes me move. I hope to finish that dang wreath AND scrapbook by Thursday. That stinkin' guest bathroom closet needs to be done by Saturday. At least those are the deadlines I'm giving myself. Also, tackle one room/day cleaning-wise. Bedroom. Kitchen/dining. Living room. Bathrooms. Do it, Chrissy!
(like my self pep talk?)
Wanna help a girl out? Am I not alone? Are you all lazy too?
(kinda hoping you all say yes!)

I'm so lazy!!! I was suppose to go to the gym tonight, get home, make a healthy dinner and do dishes! Instead I didn't go to gym, got pizza and chilling on the couch watching TV while the dishes sit there. So lazy.
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you. I have big, big plans. I bring lots home to do and also have several things on my to do list. But alas, it hardly ever gets done. It's a vicious cycle. At night as I'm going to bed, I'm kicking myself for doing n-o-t-h-i-n-g and vow tomorrow will be a better day and I will accomplish so much! Although I will say I did force myself to run today when I got home, but I'm not seeing much else get done :) You are totally forgiven because teaching is hard work!

Living A Wonderful Life
YES! I am sooo lazy. I shop when I should clean, sleep when I should work, and watch tv when I should work out. Shame on me! But then sometimes I stop and think...life's too short to beat myself up over the things I "should" be doing. Guess that's why I'm sitting in front of the tv right now :)
ReplyDeleteit is hard when you are so tired after the school day!! If I just start doing something right when I get home that helps. Otherwise I'd be tempted to not do anything if I sit down - that or I'd fall asleep!! Good luck with all your things to get done - just aim for a few for the week! : )
