[love] Relationship Timeline

We have this h-u-g-e wall in our dining room that has nothing on it. Still. We purchased shelves for it but since it is so long, we need to get a few more. Until then, I am dreaming of what I am going to put on that massive space.

On Pinterest, I have found the answer! Of course- who would have thought otherwise? At Always Chasing Life, Fawn made a wall of photos documenting their relationship: a timeline of sorts! Isn't that adorable?!

So... to give me motivation... I have scoured Facebook for photos from Nate and I's relationship (and there's a billion)! I'm only sharing photos up to our engagement... today, anyways. I may come back and drown you with more photos post-engagement/pre-wedding and then even after wedding! Aren't you lucky? Let's get started :)

Our first picture together: we were co-hosts at a Disciple Now at my home church/the church where he was a music intern. You may recognize Savannah from OH SO PRETTY the DIARIES! And then Scott (the red head) was in our wedding and both of us will be in his wedding this November! Memories.

We started dating on February 27, 2007. Our first picture together once we were "boyfriend/girlfriend" at my apartment at DBU.  I have glitter and a lot of make-up on because I had just performed with my "sorority" in our school's Spring Sing.

Our first fancy "date": we went to the Bass Hall in Fort Worth to see "Rent" (musical). Loved it!

My first trip to his hometown to meet his family: dun dun dunnnn! Obviously, it all went well.

I was SO charming at that meeting, I was invited to go with Nate's family on their family vacation to Branson! We had a blast. We visited a butterfly museum and we are in the butterfly atrium in this picture.

That summer (2007), Nate got a job in DFW so he chose to spend his summer with me instead of going home. He was waiting for his apartment at DBU to be ready, so he actually lived with my family and I for about a month. Isn't that crazy?!

Fall 2007. We celebrated my roommate's birthday in downtown Dallas and one of our friend's played photographer and made Nate and I pose this way. Haha!

That Halloween, Nate, his roommate Bryan, my roommates (Stefani, Jenny, and Laura, all of whom were bridesmaids in our wedding), and I dressed up! We visited my parents and then ate at Ihop. We were BIG partiers in college, let me tell you.

Our school has a huge benefit every fall and the choir always has to sing at it. Since Nate was a music major, he was automatically in the choir (hence his tux outfit of choice). My sorority played hostesses, so I attended as well. After it was all said and done, Nate and I snagged a picture together all fancified.

First Christmas/birthday celebrations together (remember: Nate's birthday, Christmas, and my birthday are in the span of five days: lots of celebrating for us all at once)!

First New Years! My friend that I grew up with and I hosted a party together every year (well... only '05, '06, and '07.... until Nate snagged me and I started helping with church youth lock-ins: still love you Taylor!) so here we are ringing in 2008 together.

First Valentine's together! I gave him a goody basket full of candy, chocolates, a scrapbook, and a picture of the two of us. He was pretty excited about it! And then we dressed up and went to dinner. He got me a diamond necklace: he's a keeper, I know!

One year anniversary! We went back to Bass Hall to see "Chicago" (musical) to commemorate our first fancy date from the year before. Wonderful evening!

Fast forward from February to June... the day Nate proposed! June 17th, 2008. We went to the Dallas Arboretum for a picnic: we were in a grassy area of the park, all secluded and such. After our lunch of sandwiches and Gushers (we're five, I know), Nate told me he had a surprise. I KNEW he was going to propose! So he made me close my eyes and then I heard him put a box in front of me and get behind me... Dang it. I opened my eyes and it was a Bible. With my new name on it. I started freaking out internally, so I casually joked, "Oh, is this for the future? Thanks so much!" When I turned around to give him a hug, he was on one knee with the ring out!!!!! "Will you marry me?" AAAAHHHH! It was perfect. Except it had just rained, so ignore my gross hair.

Close up of my new Bible with my married name on it and my engagement ring!!!

My parents threw us an engagement party a few weeks later and we were stoked to get this wedding business underway!

Needless to say, I'm going to need a bunch of frames to get my relationship timeline gallery wall underway. Wish me luck!

Happy Tuesday!
